But, recently I have felt a little like the stressed out emoji! We started with the back to school doctor appointments last week. The other day I walked into Target and the store is decked out in back to school displays, as are so many other stores. This week I tried to decode how to order school uniforms for the girls. I was definitely stressed trying to figure out how many shirts the girls need, how to order logos on gym uniforms, and other uniform details. Thank goodness the awesome St. Thecla parents shared their wisdom on Facebook! My to do list was growing long. I felt like the end of summer and the school year were barreling down on us!
While swimming this weekend, Sophia said, “Mommy, summer is so happy!” Wise words my sweet gal. Sophia and Stella then listed a bunch of fun summer things we still needed to do - go see The Emoji Movie, go miniature golfing, go to the zoo, do water balloons, have a big playdate at the park with their friends, ride their bikes, go swimming with their cousins, eat hot dogs, and so many other things. As they listed off so many of the simple joys of summer I realized I needed to push away my stressed out, anxious, worried, and nervous emojis! I need to live in this happy moment and be a happy emoji! Time is going way to fast and the girls will be big in a blink of an emoji eye.
So, I’ll figure out school supplies and school uniforms later. Now, I’m going to order The Emoji Movie tickets. I have date with my sweets gals this Friday! Hope to see you at the theater!
