Life is messy and we are finding the joy in it all.
We had the perfect 4th of July outfits and forgot to take pictures for the blog until July 5th!
We are a fabulous group of moms that are long-time friends & family. From the fast track to the school pick up line, from kid food hacks to gourmet turkey burgers, from messy families to a little me time - we're finding joy in it all and hope you do to. The Messy Mommies
Meg is chasing after her eight-year-old twins, Sophia and Stella while trying to not drive her work from home husband, Tony crazy from the loud, laughing house. After working for the White House and in insurance, Meg started her own communications consulting company and the Messy Mommies in the City blog. Meg is busy with Sophia and Stella and their friends, tweeting about insurance, and is always trying to figure out what to make for dinner. Meg loves a good dip recipe, is trying to figure out how to occasionally fit in exercise, and loves the messiness of life. Meg broke out her sewing machine mid-March to help make masks for people on the front lines of the global coronavirus pandemic and made more than 365 masks. Rocky, the family golden retriever puppy, is high energy and loves playing with Sophia and Stella.
Holly loves to whip up wonderful dips, meals and desserts and is the author of the cookbook Together: Recipes to Bring Family & Friends to the Table! Holly is also considering joining UBER and slapping the sticker to her car to make the family carpooling profitable, as she is running up and down the city streets taking hertween to dance, violin, gymnastics, playdates, and anything else that the Eleanora comes up with! Leaving her post as an elementary school principal after nine years to focus on her daughter and husband, Matt has given new meaning to the "Golden Rule!" Holly loves to cook family dinners, make special holiday meals, and enjoys whipping up sugar cookies. While Holly hates a mess, she has learned to make the most of it and realizes some messes don't need to be cleaned up! Holly's dog Ginger is a fluff and loves to walk up and down the block in Chicago.
Brooke works full time and has the pleasure of being the mom to a beautiful 9-year-old little girl named Sofia. As Brooke wrote about herself, Fia was jumping off the couch..and attempting to play catch with their 10 year old boxer Max. Their puppy Olive can also be found running around the house. Brooke found her way back to the great city of Chicago after 10 blissful years traveling the country as an on-air reporter. Being a mom to one child is the hardest and most rewarding thing she has ever done! Brooke hopes you'll travel along with her as she blogs about the importance of loving yourself and having a good time on this epic, messy ride called life!!
Kim is always on the go! From working in the office to providing exceptional service in the restaurant industry, Kim knows how to get things done. This busy wife and mom of three is an amazing cook, is a rock star with budget hacks, and is all about quality time with family and friends. While life is messy with work, two superstar girls in college, Jessi and Sara, and one awesome college graduate, Rudi, Kim finds joy in it all and keeps everyone smiling. Kim's sweet dog Sasha keeps everyone smiling.
