This is such an unusual year and I'm finding the days after Christmas different too. In the past we'd be running around seeing family and friends, shopping the sales, hitting the holiday sites and restaurants in Chicago, and so much more. Instead we are hanging out at home, playing board games, cooking, and being low key. After the kids are asleep, I've finally had a few minutes to listen to one of my favorite podcasts, "Two Kids And A Career" by the incredible Jill Devine! You need to listen to and subscribe to Jill's "Two Kids And A Career" podcasts!

We became friends with Jill on social media about a year ago. The hilarious Cat and Nat from #MomTruths were coming to the Rialto Theater and we listened to Jill's podcast with Cat and Nat. They were all so funny together! We started interacting with Jill and have since been cheering each other on! We love Jill's latest podcast, "What The Last Year Has Taught Me" and appreciate her candor and positive attitude. Listen today! In my words, Jill shows us how when you career takes a sharp turn, you can take control and find happiness, even during a pandemic. We are so proud of our entrepreneur friend for her determination and creativeness! She is a well-known radio personality, a wonderful mother, and an incredible friend to the St. Louis community!

We also love Jill's blog where she shares the highs, the lows, and the in betweens! This year sure has been filled with highs, lows, and in betweens. We love reading Jill's posts about parenting, health and wellness, and especially the recipes! You all know we love cooking and it has been great checking out Jill's recipes too! Jill often highlights other great small business owners on the blog too. Jill is sharing great ideas for New Year's Eve in the St. Louis area on the blog! Read now!

We love to shout out small businesses and encourage other big dreamers! Jill has done an amazing job with supporting her community and supermoms! We love Jill's "Small Business Shoutouts" and how she tells such heartwarming stories about the people and their companies. Our nephew went to school at Mizzou and my brother, Sergie and sister-in-law, Liz have spent a lot of time in St. Louis. Our childhood friend, Greta Erbs lives in St. Louis. We love the St. Louis area. Sergie and Liz talked about so many wonderful restaurants and shops in St. Louis and it has been so fun for us to see Jill highlighting so many great places! She is such a fabulous, authentic community builder. This year has also been tough for moms with the pandemic and social issues. We love that Jill has been giving "Supermom" shout outs to support other woman! We love your big heart Jill!

Join us and subscribe to Jill's "Two Kids And A Career" podcasts, follow Jill on Instagram @jilldevinve and on Twitter @JillDevineRadio. Thanks, Jill, for spreading positivity, for supporting women, and being a great friend to the Messy Mommies!

anks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience of mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escdscalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
